Most outdoor receptacles may share a single breaker, which can limit how much wattage you can plug in.
Older or worn outlets/GFIs can trip prematurely and may need replacement; weak circuit breakers can also trip under normal load and may need evaluation by a licensed electrician.
We design layouts to minimize overload risk and use LEDs wherever feasible.
If we see signs of overload, we’ll advise you on options: reduce the number of decorations on that circuit, relocate plugs to different circuits, or run extension cords to outlets on separate circuits (for example, in the garage), ensuring the cords and weather protection are appropriate for outdoor use.
Important safety note: Only use outdoor-rated extension cords, keep connections weather-protected, and avoid daisy-chaining multiple power strips.
